Kumamon aka "the Kumamoto bear" is a legend in the meme world, simultaneously cute and terrifying, and often at odds with the situations it finds itself in. In my newest piece, the famous mascot raises its arms in celebration as ancient Rome burns behind it circa 64 AD, during the reign of the emperor Nero. How this event will aid Kumamon's mission of increasing tourism to Kumamoto Prefecture is unclear, but I'm not a marketing expert.
